Today, the developers at Saber Interactive pleased the Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 community with the release of the game's 14th major update, titled Confrontation. This time, the studio focused on the PvP experience.
Update 14.0 Includes
- Two new PvP maps — Facility and Sanctum, located on Demerium and Avarax, respectively.
- PvP medals and achievements.
- Weekly rewards for participating in PvP.
- An experimental feature that shuffles teams randomly in PvP.
- A new enemy from the Thousand Sons — the Scarab Occult Terminator Sorcerer.
- A third loadout slot for select classes.
- Six new heroic weapon variants.
- Various bug fixes and balance tweaks.
- Traditional content for Season Pass 2 holders. This time around, the developers are offering a Salamanders Chapter Champion and a Raptors Chapter cosmetic pack.
On top of that, the developers confirmed that content support for Space Marine 2 has officially been extended into Year 3. The studio will soon release a corresponding Season Pass and roadmap. For now, the creators have revealed just a portion of the incoming additions for the months ahead, including:
- A new playable class.
- Two new weapons — a one-handed Thunder Hammer and the Absolvor Bolt Pistol.
- A Chaos version of the Siege mode, allowing players to play as heretics that were previously only available in PvP.
- Wolf Guard and Deathwatch Champions.
- An Exorcists Chapter cosmetic pack.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Meanwhile, it's worth remembering that the studio has already been greenlit to develop a full-fledged threequel.
