Guide to find all 3 keys in Slay the Spire and unlock the final act.

Slay the Spire has a hidden Act 4 with the final boss. To unlock this act and face The Heart of the Spire, you need to collect three special Keys – the Ruby Key, the Emerald Key, and the Sapphire Key.

These Slay the Spire keys are scattered throughout Acts 1–3, and you should collect them before you finish the boss from Act 3.

Below you will find the details of how to find the keys in Slay the Spire and unlock the final act.

1. Ruby Key (Fire Places)

Ruby Key is the first and easiest to get. You can obtain it at any campfire during all Acts in Slay the Spire (except Act 4).

When you reach a campfire, instead of choosing to rest or upgrade your cards, there will be an option to “Obtain the Key”. Choosing this option will give you the Ruby Key but you won’t be able to rest or upgrade during that visit.

2. Sapphire Key (Treasure Chests)

The sapphire key is the second key in Slay the Spire, which is found inside treasure chests in the middle of any Act.

When you open a treasure chest, you’ll have the option to either take the relic in the chest or take the Sapphire Key instead. If you choose the Sapphire Key, you won't be able to take the relic. So, if you have a good relic in the chest in Act 1 or Act 2, perhaps it’s better to take the relic and get the Sapphire Key in Act 3.

3. Emerald Key (Elites)

The Emerald Key is the hardest to obtain. You can get it by defeating an elite enemy, which is marked on the map with a special symbol. Whenever you fight an elite enemy, you’ll get the standard elite rewards and the Emerald Key. So, you’ll still receive the regular elite loot.

So, to take the Emerald Key, you need to plan your road not to miss the Elit with the Key. However, if you missed it in Act 1, it will always appear in Act 2 and Act 3.
