Pearl Abyss has confirmed that a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Crimson Desert is in development, revealed during a shareholder briefing reported by InvenGlobal.
According to CEO Heo Jin-young, the port has reached the point where basic gameplay is functional, but optimization and technical testing are still ongoing. The main challenge is preserving the game's graphics, combat feel, and open world on the hardware. Partner collaboration also needs to be evaluated before a release window can be confirmed. A formal announcement is still some time away.
Crimson Desert is currently available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
